The top half describes the story of the marriage of the Duke Wilhelm V to Renata of Lorraine. As you continue, you will visit the Frauenkirche, a famous landmark and also the symbol of the city. You will get to see its two towers which are about 98 meters high. An Interesting feature of these towers is that each of them contains 10 bells which makes for a unique combination of sounds. Upon reaching the St. Peter’s church, you will see its 91 meter high tower and masterworks in its interiors, especially five gothic paintings along with frescoes on its ceiling. Continue on to visit the Viktualienmarkt located in the center of the city. It is one of the most important attractions here and you will find fresh food items, have a chance to eat excellent food and look for souvenirs here. You will finish your tour at the Isartor gate, one of the four main gates of the medieval city wall which served as an important fortification.
